Hello, I came across your website today as I was searching Espresso Italia because I too have fallen victim to their scam, two years ago. I was actually looking to possibly sell my machines and inventory to either other distributors that absolutely love everything about Espresso Italia or just sell my distributorship to someone else. The difference between me and Espresso Italia are that if I can actually get some ofmy losses back I will tell the prospective owner the untrue statements made by EI, such as earning potential and how the "help" you locate places for your machines.

I am actually exhausted talking about EI and my terrible experience. I am a police officer and can not feel toal embarassment (I protect people daily from these predators) because I was lead to believe and trust in Patrick Albright (must have been the accent.) I told him my story, I was pregnant with my first child and was force with the possibility of having to take unpaid leave from work. (I was our cities first pregnant female.) Luckily, that did not happen, but before I knew the outcome of my situation at work, I purchased the franchise wih EI.

Espresso Italia lied about the number of distributors in my area, the potential earnings, and their "help" in placing machines. I was not provided a list of other distributors. (THis was prior to the FTC investigation.)

Bottom line I had a gut feeling when I WAS getting the money order and almost backed out at the last minute and I didn't. I have been kicking myself ever since. I do have quite a bit of unopened machines and products, does anyone have any success in selling their stuff or did you just pitch it.

Also, just curious as to if anyone received a check from the FTC this past summer. I did, for $450. Hardly seems fair but I cashed it anyways.

Thanks for the website. Hopefully this helps someone.

From an Ex-Senior Executive, quit and then went to the FBI

When I found out what was really happening, I quit and then went to the FBI. They used to have one person called a 'singer' that would tell people how great the company was, how great the program was, how well they were doing... etc... of Course, the guy telling people that was the son of another senior manager of the company... When I was there I found out how they truly ripped everyone off. They used to tell people that with a 40 account distributorship, they should make right at $240k... They used to lie about everything... Then when you buy, the tactic was to make you feel stupid. I personally, don't think anyone made over $25K ever. Not when I was there. who is successful? Does EI just pick a few people that they actually help so they can keep this scam up?

Rick
So are the successful people with Espresoo Italia a scam as well, or are there successful people at this. Does EI just pick a few people that they actually help so they can keep this scam up

I am trying to figure this out, there have to be a few succesful people at this, (at what level of success I do not know )the ones I spoke with say they have wonderful locators, does EI randomly pick those people.

Perhaps I did not have a change when I was deteremined to meet people in Florida in their office. Everyone gets to go home early on Friday when most travelers arrive for training. They do not tell you that before you get there.

I would like to either speak with you or email if that is possible.

I am willing to work hard and do anything to make this thing work, but do not want to beat a dead horse.

This company utilizes very organized systems and tactics. The company had defrauded 100's of people out of millions of dollars but make no mistake, they know what they are doing and until people come together, they will continue. The best indicator of future operations for them, is past history. I can be called to testify and will do so.

Debra, unfortunately those are your machines. You paid for them and can do what you want with them. Espreesso Italia won't do a thing for you. We have tried and I repeat tried to solve our situaton with them and they will not do a thing. They still want us to go out and push this slow machine and average tasting coffee. They have even said we need to retrain ourselves, like that video is complicated to understand....yeah right! We ordered our coffee back in April of 2004. The answer is yes I have heard of miami espresso. I have not contacted them or anything such as that.
The only thing you can do is try to get unboard with those of us that are going to pursue legal action. We will be on IM tonight (Monday 6th Dec.) at 7:00 pm Arizona time.

Hope you join us.

I am also exhausted from trying to come up with a solution. I cannot seem to make this thing work out in the field or on paper.

I am begging anyone other than the 3 people that they told me to call to please tell me how it has worked for them. I am willing to try anything.

You said you have not rec'd the rest of your coffee? How long ago did you purchase your "busienss" ?

I just find it hard to beleive that there is not something we can all do.

Have you checked out www.miamiespresso.com
the machines and coffee are for 1/2 the price.

I do not know if I can even give not only the mahine away for free, but the coffee as well.

Melissa, like the rest of us, you were lied to by Espresso Italia and its personnel. My brother and I purchased our espresso machines after the rulings. But the rulings still have not stopped Espresso Italia people from lying or decieving others. I have wrote the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) twice now and they say they are investigating. To what length who knows. I also have been in touch with the NBOB (National Business Opportunity Bureau). I don't think they do anything. They just try to mediate. With enough people getting ripped off, the FTC should stop Espresso Italia now. Hopefully with the group of us seeking counsel and with all of our letters and documentation, we'll get this resolved.

By the way we have 15 machines doing absolutely nothing. The two machines we had placed came back to us, "they are to slow" as per comments from customers that had them. Also we have yet to receive our complete order of coffee that we initially ordered.

We as a group need to stop Espresso Italia.
