Essentials Threaten through Intimidation ripoff Des Plaines Louisiana
I received what I considered an advertisement until I read in bold print above my address "UNLESS YOU CANCEL, YOUR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED". I have never had a credit card with this company, "essentials", so how dare they threaten that I will be charged anything onto a credit card I have never authorized.
When I tried to phone the number they offered,to express my indignation, I was told there would be a five minute wait. No thanks!
Are these people for real? And is this even legal?
My husband is wanting me to get in touch with them, for fear that somehow they will charge us the $209.95 that they threaten to charge. How in the heck do they come up with that figure, and by whose right?
I feel that if I get in touch with them as they insist, that I am enableing them to continue with their "strong arm tatics".
When my husband insisted that I could not just choose to ignore this, I told him that I would get in touch with the Better Business Bureau. Maybe you guys will tell me what I should do. Thanks for your attention. I am awaiting your response.

Hello
#2Consumer Suggestion
Wed, October 11, 2006
Here is a suggestion. I recently contacted them. I pretended I was a worried consumer whos card has or will be charged. These people or not a rip off and or not illegal some where some how you might have signed up with them for special reward savings. If not all you must do is contact them and let them know. I know that these people work and hold there buisness account through Chase bank. They or a legite company.
