Essex Auction and Estate Services Be very careful on LIVEAUCTIONEERS OR AUCTIONZIP of this auction company Salem Massachusetts
I recently won an auction on Auction Zip by an auction house called Essex Auction and Estate Services. The auction was for 3 photographs that were $10. The auction house refused to quote shipping until I paid the auction. Once I paid for the item they quoted me a price of $39 for shipping of 3 photographs within the US. Clearly a scam and I would advise to stay away from this auction house.

While the complaint listed is regarding a Massachusetts company, Essex in Evanston has not been good either. Took inventory from family estate to sell and then after some sales, repeatedly have tried to contact by phone and email to no avail. Either incompetent or dishonest.
