I placed 2 "Trade-In" orders at eStarland.com on the 15th and the 16th of November 2009. As of this writing it is the 23rd of November 2009 and I still have not received the promised "Free EZ Ship Label(s)" for sending in my trade-in's. Even though on their EZ Ship webpage it specifically states "eStarland will email you a shipping label within 2 business days of placing your trade-in order."

They have minimum requirements to meet for their Free EZ Ship Service. First and foremost you must have a minimum value of $100 trade-in credit and then meet one of their following criteria's; "Minimum of 10 Games and/or Small accessories", "Minimum of 2 Game Systems", or "Minimum of 1 Game System with 5 Games and/or Small Accessories". This information can be found on their dedicated EZ Ship page at: http://www.estarland.com/EZShipService.html

My first order has 21 games for a trade-in total of $382.45. That far exceeds the minimum $100 trade-in credit and the minimum of 10 games criteria. The second order has 2 console game systems, 26 games and 4 accessories for a trade-in total of $266.35. This second trade-in order not only far exceeds the minimum $100 trade-in credit but also the game console, games and accessories criteria.

I have a Due Date of November 29th 2009 for the first order and November 30th 2009 for the second order. This week is Thanksgiving week, if the label is not here before Wednesday the 25th then there is no chance for the packages to go out and get scanned into the UPS tracking system before the 29th Due Date.

For not following through and getting me my labels within the 2 business days like it says on the EZ Ship webpage I am thinking this is a scam. Part of their program is with the trade-in's if you sign up with a credit card they will give you instant credit for your trade-in's. It's stated to work by making a pre-authorized charge on your card for your trade-in credit amount, this way if you don't turn in your trade-in's or if their are issues with the trade-in's then they will authorize the charges on the card.

I used the instant credit to order me some games already, what I'm thinking is they are going to try to let the Due Date expire and charge my card so that they do not have to accept the trade-in's thus giving them more money. Fortunately I used an actual credit card rather then paypal so that I will have a very good chance at disputing this if they don't hurry up and send me the shipping label's.

Lastly, I have been in contact with their 'support' e-mail address. I made an enquiry on the 19th asking about the shipping label's then and got the response "We apologize for the delay in your order. If you did not receive an EZ Ship label a label will be sent to you shortly. Please ship the trade-ins as soon as you have a chance to remove the authorization on your card." Now, here on the 23rd still without my shipping labels.

If I do not get this taken care of tomorrow or wednesday and if they do end up authorizing that charge on my credit card then I will follow up and it'll be time to dispute the charge with my credit card company and file a complaint with the BBB as this is rather absurd. It doesn't take a genius to fill out and make a UPS shipping label, nor does it take that much time to do, they should've had this done within those 2 business days as stated.

The following day after posting on here I finally got responses. Also finally got the shipping labels and I handed both packages over to the UPS driver that day. Now here's hoping that all the video games, console's and accessories I turned in are fully accepted as they should be. I truly did make sure to triple check every game, console and accessory. As a matter of fact, I ended up delaying myself by a few hours when I tested the games.

In the messages I received I was told about the delays, but it would've been far easier to of had courtesy e-mails sent out stating to expect about a week+ delay on the EZ Ship Label or to atleast have a notice on the webpage itself "During the Holidays, Please expect up to 1 week+ delays".

Overall, I'm alright with this company now since I did finally get my EZ Ship Label's and the packages are on their way to them now. My first batch of orders came in from them and I have another delivery set to come in on Monday the 30th.

I got an e-mail last night that my shipping label will be sent to me today, a guarantee from the webmaster personally and a promise to adjust the due date because of the delay. Now to wait and find out IF I do get the shipping label or not and if the due dates will be changed.

It's easy to understand time delays around the holidays, yet better communication on their end rather then having to fight to get everything squared away would've been the best option.
