Estate Classics No refund on item I purchased but did not receive dallas, Texas
I put a Coach handbag in layaway. The purse was marked for $199.00 but got it on sale for $100.00. I put $30.00 down on 09/21/2012 and owed $84.00. I called several times and told Lori and Jane on different occasions that I still wanted my item but since I live in the Arlington area that I will pick up on my way from out of town since that was a good drive to their location. They agreed this was fine.
The weekend of Thanksgiving I went into the location and Jane was working. I gave her my ticket and paid for the remaining balance of $84.00 after paying for my item she was seaching for my handbag..She never did find my handbag. So Jane kept insisting for me to find another item and she will throw in a scarf..I looked at the handbags for sale but wanted the one I paid for. I kindly asked for a refund and Jane insisted there would be no refund..I kept insisting that I paid for the item and never received it and I am entitled to a refund!
She insisted I talked to the owner next week when she was back from out of town but I would not do that because just my luck they would say I got my handbag etc. So I told Jane to call the owner and she did...The owner was rude and insisted she was out of town and said there was nothing she could do. I told her I didnt want to hear anything but wanted my money back. I then gave the phone back to Jane and Jane talked to her and got off the phone.
I then asked what did Lori say. She said Lori said to give me my money back and to not return to her store ever again. Thats fine with me because you cant have something in layaway...sell it to someone else and then expect me to find something else and give me no refund! That is very foul and very unprofessional! I finally got my money back.. And Jane became very upset and nasty.. Yes the handbag was a $100.00 but that was my money! You dont do business like that. I urge you if you go into this store do NOT put anything in layaway!
