Complaint Review: Esthetics by Claire

I bought a coupon from this establishment through a website two weeks ago and have not been able to get an appointment with this establishment since I called and told them that I had purchased a coupon from groupon.ca which would give me a 60min massage for $25.00. I played phone tag with the owner, Claire, for 2 weeks still not being able to get an appointment until today. I called one last time and got a hold of her, she said that she had no appointments available for me for two weeks - she was booked solid. I asked her to call me if she ended up having a cancellation. She called me a few hours later and told me to come in for the massage. When I went to the establishment she had closed the doors and left without calling or notifying me. I had taken a taxi to get to her spa just to find she closed the doors to 'go out for lunch.' I called, knocked and rang the doorbell multiple times in the hopes that someone would answer but nobody did. I am 37 weeks pregnant, standing on the corner of the street in 30 degree weather with swollen feet. I stood infront of her spa for 1 hour until I almost fainted under the heat of the sun + I have a medical condition brought on by my pregnancy in which (by Doctors orders) I am not allowed to stand for more then 20min at a time due to vary bad edima. I managed to get a hold of her on my cell phone when she gave me multiple excuses tell me why she left.

1. She thought I wasn't coming.

2. I came at the wrong time - when she told me 1:15pm i was there for 1pm but she swears she didn't leave until 1:05pm and 'didn't see me.'

3. She thought I was 'pranking' her - even though I had tried to get a hold of her for 2 weeks prior to set up an appointment.

4. She said she was having car trouble...

5. She said she was coming right back after picking something up from the store to do my massage. I waited there until 2pm and she didnt call me/show up until I caved and called a taxi to bring me back home because I couldn't stand there anymore.

6. She refused to give me back my money back - says she has nothing to do with GROUPON and their company is responsible for reimbursing me.

So please do not support a woman whom treats others this way by using and abusing coupon websites. You think you're getting a good deal but you're just throwing you're money away. It is her responsibility to make sure every person is taken care of. She did not care about me or my situation and was vary rude and defencive.

It is unfortunate that people like this exist with zero consequances.
