I received a letter on October 23, 2004 apparently from the Spanish state lottery authority saying I had won 415,000 on Euromillones but to keep this confidential because of "a mix-up of names and numbers" The letter named Juan Lopez of Estrella Intercontinental Seguros as my agent, entitled to 10% of the winnings. I contacted him and the next day he asked for an imediate transfer of 2847 "extended insurance premium" to his Financial Manager Radebe Johnson, before the payment to me could go ahead. I refused.

This looks like Santa Lucia Security operating under new names. They must have got my name and address from a hotel register.

I received a letter on November 1, 2004 (dated October 24, 2004) apparently from the Spanish state lottery authority saying I had won 785,100 but to keep this confidential because of "a mix-up of names and numbers" The letter named Mr. Mario Fernandez of La Estrella de Seguros, entitled to 5% of the winnings. I did an internet search and am not faxing anything. This isn't even my name. They have my address correct though!

It staes for me to call and correct my name to 011-34-636-846-792 and fax is 011-34-675-108-202.

The foreign services manager is Mr. Mark Edmond. The engligh grammer is incorrect and a few misspelled words were key to this being a scam. This letter has a traditional european styled stamp, but is nothing official looking.
