Esurance was to refund part of my policy but decided to send the refund to an account that was closed over two years ago. I informed them that the account was closed over two years ago, but they decided to issue the refund to this closed account anyway. They said that if the refund does not go through, then they would send me a live check.

I am unable to access the funds that they supposedly sent over to my bank. My bank says that they did not receive the money. I had a supervisor from my bank speak with a supervisor from Esurance to verify that the money never went into my account and that the bank does not have the money. Esurance refuses to issue the check and continue to claims that the bank has the money. Esurance is unable to provide a transaction number or otherwise prove that they sent the money to Bank of America. Esurance also refuses to allow me to communicate with their billing department to clear up the matter and find out where my money is. Esurance also refuses to contact Visa processing services to find out what happened to the transaction.

I have been ripped off and I am at a loss as to what to do next to get my money back.

Stay away from this company. I have probably spent over 300 hours on the phone with them altogther. I had to call a lot to straighten things out during the short 6 months that I had coverage with them, and this is over two years later, and I am still getting things sorted out.

Esurance has been a nightmare.
