I had the same insurance company for more than 6 years. Shopped around the internet, got a nice quote from esurance, paid by internet, set up auto pay. All was good until I received an email asking for my previous insurance history. I emailed the document twice to esuarance before they found it, AFTER insisting on a conference call with previous company.

Get this- we confirm continuous coverage for the last 6 years except for..... GRRR...the last two days while I switched from my old company to esurance!!

So according to esurance, I now do not qualify for the continuous coverage discount originally agreed to and my rate went from $ 135 per month to $175 per month for a 1995 Ford explorer valued at $1200. 

Then I get an email saying I requested the policy change:
