Ethan Jewelry Novel jewelry Thieves False Advertisement los angeles, California
I purchased a ring on Dec. 5th. My account was deducted 799.00 the following day. I did not recieve a confirtmation number for the purchas for 7 days even though the stores site said I would recieve it within 48 hours.
After numerous calls to the number listed I spoke with someone who told me the orders were behind due to the holidays. I finally recieved the ring on Dec. 28th after filing a report with the BBB of Los Angeles.
I was disgusted when I opened the box. It was not what I had ordered. I took the ring to a local jeweler to have it appraised. I purchased a color D and clarity I. The ring I recieved was a color N and clarity I3. I had no idea you could rate a diamond that low on the scale. The diamond looked like a piece of smashed glass. It resembled a quartz one would find in a drive way.
I took the ring to the post office the following business day and shipped it back to the company. Before sending the ring I had made several attempts to contact a sales person. Again, there was no answer and the voice mail box was full. I went ahead and sent the ring back to the address that was posted on the box. I sent e-mails explaining I was un satisfied with the product and that I wanted my money refunded.
Two weeks later I recieved a package in the mail. It was the same ring. Ethan Jewelry refused tha package and it was sent back to me. Once again I sent numerous e-mails and made countless telephone calls to the store. No response. Along with the ring was a certification of appraisal by a company named NOVEL jewelry. I called the number that was listed at the bottom of the paper.
When I called the man I spoke with told me that there was a sales man from Ethan Jewelry there picking up some items. When I spoke to him(Paul), he apologized and gave me a different address to mail the ring to. He assured me that I would recieve a full refund. I followed his instructions and sent the package to the address along with a signature confirmation through the postal service.
When I tracked the item once again it had not been delivered. It sat at the post office for almost a week before it was signed for by one of there employees. The ring was now in there possesion. I was told through the one e-mail response I recieved that it took seven days to process a refund on there end and up to three business days for the money to post to my checking account. The ring was signed for on January 12th.
I have continued to call the business number listed on the website and sent many more e-mails. I have not yet recieved a response nor have I been given my money back.
I am not the only customer that is having the same issue with them. I have exchanged e-mails with a few. I was give the store managers private cell phone number and there is also no answer on that phone.
It has been over a month since they have taken possesion of the ring they sold me. I feel that I have been scammed. They false advertise on their web site. Ethan Jewelry is stealing from their customers.
I filed another complaint with the BBB of Los Angeles and it was disregarded due to the company not responding to the complaint. I do not know who else to contact about this matter. I deserve to have my money refunded to be as do all of the other customers that have been taken advantage of.
