I purchased an AKAI SCSI Hard Drive from this seller on ebay. I paid $197.80, including shipping. They shipped a product and it was defective -- it was a piece of studio equipment that made a loud buzzing noise when on. This was not the way that this piece of equipment was supposed to operate.
We went through paypal dispute console and they agreed to a refund, so I didn't escalate the claim within the proper time frame to get the money back through paypal. I, on good faith, thought they would keep their word. Instead, they stalled me out. So then the dispute was closed. So I had shipped the product back and they never refunded the money. They now have the money and the product.
I tried to call the seller, and through email, they agreed to give the money back and it never happened. I went to my bank and they temporarily put the money back in my account. I contacted paypal again. They called and emailed the seller to ask if they would give the money back, as they said they would in our original agreement. They refused.
They are still selling on ebay despite all this. They have a few negative references on ebay.com, so buyers beware, and heed what these negative references say.
