I was looking for a used Subaru engine complete with wiring harness for an engine conversion on a VW Vanagon.

Spoke to Meuller at Eurasian on Friday and he said they had found a 2003 Forester with 32,000 miles on it at a salvage auction in Littleton, CO, but that they would need the money up front before purchasing the vehicle.

I agreed to let them charge my credit card and he said he would contact me early the next week, once they had the car in their possession. I hadn't heard anything by Wednesday so I called and Meuller then said they had to get the car from Montrose, CO, which is half way across the state, but that the car was due in that day. I called back on Friday and they still had not received the car but Meuller promised to call me back with a status report that afternoon.

I checked the salvage companie's website and their inventory is available online. They had over 50 cars on the lot in Littleton with the engine that I was looking for, so I'm not sure why Eurasian would have to get a car all the way from Montrose!

I didn't get a call back so I called Eurasian Saturday morning and asked them to cancel the deal and issue a refund to my credit card. They agreed to do this but it's been a week and no refund has been issued. I've disputed the charge on my credit card and I guess now the credit card company will have to get their money back from these crooks. The Englewood police said that there is nothing they can do.
