EuropaParts.com EuropaParts Is Happy to rip off the customer Internet
I purchased an axle for my passat through their website; plugged in all info required to identigy correct part. Turns out that my passat -due to model year, drive train, engine size- takes a different axle. Only discovered this when the new one arrived (late, and EuropaParts didn't care to find out why it wasn't delivered on time) that it was the wrong size. Sent the axle back for a refund. Got a string of emails that a/ the box was wrong; b/ was I sure this was the incorrect axle; c/ by the way, the returned part looked used.
I'm at a standstill with the company not responding to my emails while they are in possession of an axle that I could have sold on Craig's List and recouped postage. It's not the $$, it's all about misrepresentation and treating the consumer like garbage. I am a mechanical engineer and a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. I rebuild jeeps in my free time. This is not my first car repair.
