A personal opinion of Jimmy Williams, Managing Director of European Reality in Prague:

Jimmy Williams is, in my opinion, a crook.

I grant that is a personal opinion and may not square with your business dealings with him. We all see things differently but, for me personally, his steady gaze, warm smile, moral character and firm handshake are not worth a bucket of warm spit. On that opinion, I have the bruised bank account to lend credence.

Jimmy Williams is a fairly common name, so it is important to point out that the Jimmy Williams of whom I write is in the realty services business here in Prague, where they spell realty as reality, hence the company name, European Reality. This particular Jimmy Williams is a Brit, with a pencil-thin mustache and the manner of a used car salesman about to sell you a shiny, used Bentley that may (or may not) have a trashed transmission. One seldom knows, in business dealings (or used cars), how things may turn out until later. I wouldn't again trust a Jimmy Williams handshake or a Jimmy Williams deal, but that's just me.

My own background includes a thirty-five year consultancy to the real estate and development community. My word has always been my bond. My old daddy taught me that and he taught me well. Over that period I have known only a handful of crooks, which is either fortunate or a tendency to avoid the Jimmy Williams persona. But I knew, as soon as he began to whimper about his supposed moral high-ground, that the game was afoot and a write-off of services performed was on the horizon. Occasionally I get snookered. Fortunately, that does not often happen. None the less, its always painful to learn, yet again, that morality cannot be stated, but must be earned.

It's rumored (in this rumor-sensitive city) that the 5 year old European Reality is in financial and management  difficulty  and may not long survive. I am not one to lend an opinion on this, one way or the other, although it would be no surprise to me. It is said on the street (but not by me) that, in anticipation of this, Jimmy Williams opened a bank account in a location conveniently outside the European Union. Who knows? Street talk and rumors are unreliable. I give no particular credence to such talk, yet it can be accurately said the apple (in this case, the rumor) seldom falls far from the tree.

I caution all who approach either Jimmy Williams or European Reality in Prague, to check out credentials and ask for vendor names, prior to running through them with a fine-tooth comb--then combing again.
