We purchased a miniature bulldog through Lisa Vitale at bulldogminiatures.com. As soon as she received our $1200 deposit, she stopped answering emails and phone calls. We have copies of our phone bill and emails to prove it. We asked questions about health and the pups parents. Her only response was," The parents are very, very healthy or my sister would never breed them." Photos and parent info were not received until 2 weeks prior to the pups arrival and only because I wouldn't pay the remaining balance until I received the information.

The pup arrived July 10, 2007. I emailed Lisa on July 11 to inform her we received the puppy and what his condition was. No appetite, diarrhea and vomiting. We took the pup to our vet that afternoon, thus fulfilling our contract to visit a vet within 2 business days of his arrival. The vet detected a considerable heart murmur and found that the puppy suffered from a CAMPYLOBACTER infection which caused the intestinal issues. The pup was treated with antibiotics and dewormed.

Lisa Vitale was notified. The papers from the vet were sent in. Lisa Vitale has not contacted us since before we received the puppy. Out of frustration , we contacted Evan Quintavella, the owner and the man in charge of MBCOA and miniature Bulldog inc. He said he would work with us and said, "He had no intention of taking the puppy away from our children."

The following week we notified Mr. Q of the puppy's continued roundworm infection and further treatment by the vet and that we were referred to a cardiologist to have the heart murmur examined as soon as possible. The cardiologist physically examined the pup and performed an echocardiogram. The results were: GRADE 2 BASE SYSTOLIC MURMUR, PECTUS EXCAVATUM, MODERATE ECCENTRIC HYPERTROPHY OF THE RIGHT VENTRICLE, THICKENING OF THE PULMONIC VALVE. MODERATE PULMONIC INSUFFICIENCY. The puppy is now taking blood pressure medication and is NOT the healthy dog we paid $2400 for.

All of the paperwork has been faxed to Evan Q twice. He has yet to address these matters per the 1 year health guarantee. No papers arrived with this pup other than the Florida Dept of Agriculture, Official Cert of Vet Inspection. Evan's vet who examined my pup on the morning he was shipped out is questionable as well. How could he miss the murmur and rib problem? It is a LOUD murmur and the ribs are deformed!!!!

In the future,I will NEVER do business with ANYONE associated with the MBCOA and or Miniature Bulldogs Inc. Nor would I reccomend them. I'm sure people who received healthy bulldogs are quite happy. However, if you receive an unhealthy one, you are cheated and ignored. Had I known of other customers with similar stories, I never would've done business with them in the first place.

I am shocked to read this. We also purchased a dog from this scamming organization. We should have known when they wouldn't send us pictures of our puppies parents.
The information about the MBCOA: they are a family of people claiming to be an organization the strictly screens breeders, this is so upsetting.
We were happy with our puppy until we started noticing hip problems at 8 months!!! We brought him to our vet at 10 months and they said that our PUPPY had hip displaia a condition found in old dogs. Our vet told us that whoever breed him knew full well that they were breeding an unhealthy dog. He said that one or both of the parents had this condition and yet they knowingly breed them.
Now our 14 month old dog needs hip surgery that will cost $10,000 dollars!!!!! It is so upsetting to see my wonderful, gentle dog in so much pain he can't climb steps to go to the bathroom. He cries at the bottom of the stairs and we have to carry him up. Now he has regressed to urinating in the house because getting outside is to painful. His quality of life is bad all because these people wanted to make a buck. This is a living creature they created who is now in pain. It is heartbreaking.
No one should by puppies from this so called organization. They are a PUPPY -MILL and knowingly breed dogs that are sick and deformed.
