Complaint Review: Evans Automotive

All I wanted to do was pass a smog check. After spending a lot of money and listening to this guy's life story - I was referred to him by Smog Dog in Yucca Valley - and having to hear about how horny he was (absolutely wrong to say to a single woman customer) my truck started smoking and quit on the way home. Twice. Another couple hundred dollars in towing, taxis (I live in a rural area and it's no joke not having transportation out here. I have horses to feed.) and a rental car it turns out my engine was shot beyond repair. I never had a problem with that truck in years. It dies in the middle of the most dangerous stretch of highway in the desert. I was scared to death. Yes I called him about it and he threatened to put me in jail for harrassment. I'm filing in small claims next week but it's completely out of line to say that to a woman. Why would I give you another chance with my truck? After all that money. Insult to injury and then threatens to put ME in jail? Claiming to be a Christian and then insinuating I was a prostitute. I've printed out the entire text conversation. Obviously not mentally stable but women should stay well away from this guy.
