Complaint Review: Evans Glass

Evans Glass Window installation destroyed alarm system. Wires were cut at window level and alarm sensors were thrown away. Installer never turned in our payment. Oregon City Oregon

Our security alarm system was destroyed when Evans Glass installed our new windows. I have a quote from the alarm company to repair the damage but cannot get a representative from Evans Glass to follow through with a claim. I have been trying to resolve this through the home office for over 6 months now. Initially, I placed 12 phone calls and never received a single call back. Then I was given a managers name to send my estimates to. I did that and when I attempted to follow up with him, my requests went unanswered for over 2 months. Since then I have received a call from the home office but they have informed me that the manager never received my e-mails and that I must start the entire process all over again. Meanwhile, I have a contract with my security company so I have been paying a monthly charge to them even though I no longer have a usable alarm. This has been the most frustrating experience of my life and I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company. In addition to the monthly charges, I will need to pay approximately $1200 to have a new alarm system installed. I am now in the process of looking at filing a small claims suit against Evans Glass and have invested far too many hours already into this process.
