I was given a call by the name of William Harmon who said I was approved for a loan for 5000 dollars. He said that I had to send him an upfront fee of 786.oo through a wire transfer through Western Union. He never sent me the loan and then hung up on me when he called back claiming to be the CEO of the company. He said a check would be sent in 7-10 days for a refund. I said since he had my bank account info, he needed to put in there right away. I never recieved the money and he never mentioned the money during our talk. I tried to call back and the number is disconnected. He will tell you to send the money to David Meza in Canada.

At war with Evercore Financial

I fell for the scam as well..(Read my earlier reply).  However..I refuse to take this lying down...this is what I have done so far...and I am FAR from being done...

I filed a report with the BBB...the BBB is investigating and has sent a letter to Evercore's address...which maybe bogus..but it's a paper trail.  BBB also now has a grade for Evercore posted on their website...Evercore's grade is an F.  Maybe this will save others from the aggravation we are experiencing.

I also emailed Bangor, Maine's mayor, aldermen, and city attorney.  The attorney replied promptly and is beginning an investigation into Evercore, and is also contacting the county district attorney into it as well.  Norm (Bangor's attorney) also stated that he will notify all federal officials and will appraise me of the situation and status by the end of this week.

I also emailed every media outlet in the Bangor Maine area, papers, tv, radio.

I did a trace of Evercore's 1-888 number and fax #'s and located the phone company that owns and services their numbers for Evercore.  I notified them that they have partnered up and are servicing a fraudulent predatory company,  gave them all the details.  I did this to try to pressure Evercore from every angle imaginable.

I am also calling and faxing every day "Michael Finley" (if that is even his real name)from Evercore making sure he knows that this won't be let go.  Sure they may shut down and rename the company eventually...but I won't stop.

I have done an Intelius search for Michael Finley and he does come up at Bangor Maine and several surrounding towns.  However he has had us wire the monies to Canada so the idea of this company being from Maine maybe a farce.  The whole operation maybe out of Canada.

My next step is to contact the Canadian officials and let them know of the scam that seems to be originating from within their country.  Extradition form what I learned is very difficult, but not impossible.  The more voices we can have to demand justice over this scam, the better chance we have at apprehending, and extraditing these scam artists.  Lets share our ideas and stories on this matter.  I encourage all of you to contact the officials in Bangor Maine to give them some scope as to how wide this scam is.  The more voices...the more we will be heard.
