We had two repeatedly wet areas in the basement, and Everdry was the first company we called. They told us the problem was not just in the two wet corners, but the entire basement.... Who knew! There was some rather alarming language about the hydrostatic pressure being three times the normal level and how they needed to dig out the entire perimeter of the house to install their amazing system as soon as possible. Their rep had an instrument that can detect this threatening hydrostatic pressure two entire inches into the concrete floor. Ooooh. Impressive.

My alarm bells went off when he wanted to know if we could get a home equity loan to pay for their work. Another red flag went up when he repeatedly said what a "good project" this would be (we have a large house). Flattering us about how nice the house was and how important it was to take care of the problem did not exactly inspire confidence. Then he hit us with a $35,000 price tag but said he could shave $4,000 off the price if we would agree to the work within the next couple of days and give him a deposit, and be "on call" so that they could schedule the work at their convenience.

We said that just based on the price they were quoting us, we would have to get a few more estimates before we would agree to have any work done. We called two more companies, and within 10 minutes or less, both of them told us what we had was definitely not a foundation problem. Not only that, they showed us exactly where the problem was so that we knew exactly what we'd need to do to next fix it.

Everdry's first priority is obviously getting their hands on your money. I'm sure their system works well if you actually have a bad foundation, but the fact that they're very willing to sell you an expensive solution to a problem that doesn't even exist is frightening!  I would never let them touch my foundation just based on their selfish, greedy, and unethical business practices.
