Everdry Waterproffing In Rochester Ny The biggest ripe off ever Rochester New York
We have everdry waterproofing in our home. The worst experience ever! It was sold to a man named John Romich in our area. In 2007 we found out the original contractors put in perforated pipes in the ground a big no no. We had multiple problems with water and our walls being wet. After several call and them missing several appointments because they forget to put them in there system they finally came out and told us they installed the wrong pipes. Again they missed several appointments to fix them. Finally they came out and re-piped everything reassuring this wont happen again and no leaks. I called them Mon DEC 31 07 and set up an appointment for that Saturday between 9-11am due to a large leek again in my nice finished basement. Saturday came and no everdry. I called and talk to a supervisor Mike whom said i had no appointment and they will see what they can do. I don't understand you have 10k worth of work and pay there warranty fees every year and this is how your treated as a consumer. Now I have to wait to see if they even call our come out to fix this problem again that I was already reassured wouldn't happen again in April of 2007. Plus they still haven come back since then to fix and repaint the walls that where damaged last time. I would never recommend anyone to have work done by this franchise ever!!!

Sorry... This Is Not What I Have Found at Everdry

Unfortunately words have great power, and the choice of words used in a complaint are are often determined based on the emotions and frustrations of the moment. Events do happen that cause stress, and we all react differently. That said, I am deeply sorry that this lady experienced such a disappointment.
However, my experience with Everdry and the owners of the franchise show a very different and contrasting picture. Looking from the inside out - it is impossible to match this lady's complaint with what happens every day at Everdry.
There is strong leadership at Everdry and if the owners found such disrespect to any customer, then they would be fired - period. Everdry does not tolerate any employee who may have treated anyone or had been guilty of such a performance as stated above.
Everdry is strong in customer service. Strong? No, actually they are the Wegmans of the basement waterproofing world. Thousands can testify to the delightful experiences they have found in having their basement problems solved...
As for basements. Yes, it is true that water may show up again - but Everdry always responds in a timely, courteous manner. Yes, it may be inconvenient, but Everdry does follow through, no matter how difficult a particular basement may prove to be. It would be wonderful if all basements, without exception, would have complete fix immediately. But we are dealing with water and hydrostatic pressure. Sometimes it gives us a fight. But ultimately we win, successfully shutting down the water threat and creating a dry bubble around and under the basement. None does it better than Everdry. The reality is that a very few properties need a little extra attention. If basements were all that easy to fix - everyone could do it themselves. But they are not always easy. No one does it better than Everdry. I am saddened by this lady's unfortunate experience. It surely is not the Everdry that I know. Everdry is a great company. They strive to solve all problems that arise. I am proud to work there. If they were not the professional company I see everyday- I could not work there.

It is truly unfortunate how a select few employees of a company can really ruin people's perception of them. I've been a happy Everdry customer for years, and am surprised by the negative experiences people on this site have had.
From the first inspection to the service warranty, I've been very pleased with the level of friendliness and professionalism from the Everdry guys. They've yet to miss an appointment, or disappoint me with the quality of service. I said it once and I'll say it again- I'd recommend Everdry to anyone.

I made the mistake of giving my name and phone number to Everdry of Rochester at a home show. Now they call constantly wanting me to spend $15,000 or more to fix my nonexistent basement water problems. The sales people are extremely pushy and rude. They keep ignoring my repeated requests to not call me. And they always call from a different number so you can't block it or ignore it. Such a selling practice tells you they must have something to hide.
After getting frustrated with them and doing a Google search on them, I found out that in 2006 they had a $585,000 verdict against them in a major sexual harassment lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). (see http://www.eeoc.gov/eeoc/newsroom/release/10-27-06.cfm) They were sued for the harassment of teenage girls. From the EEOC press release:
EEOC said at trial that the sexual harassment at Everdry occurred for four years and included male managers smacking female employees on the buttocks, attempting to grab their breasts, and pressuring them for sex. The harassment also included a constant stream of lewd and graphic sexual comments, gestures, and requests for female employees to wear specific types of clothing and do table top dances for the men. A 16-year-old girl was coerced into having her toes sucked by her male manager in front of her co-workers on her first day on the job. . . . Raechel Adams, the other EEOC trial attorney on the case, said, "The harassment at Everdry was especially egregious because many of the employees were teenage girls who were abused by their supervisors and may have felt they had no where to turn for help." (Emphasis added)
NOT a company I would want to do business with based on that information alone!!! Wish I had known that information prior to the home show.

Many people like to complain, but never acknowledge a job done well. I think Everdry deserves so recognition.
I just purchased a home with the Everdry System in the basement. What an awesome system. I never have had a problem.
I have never seen a drier basement. I was even able to finish the basement into extra living space. I created a workout area and a child's play area, and don't have to worry about water seepage or damage.
I cannot say enough good things about this company. They have an excellent system and it works wonders. The employees have been helpful and are very knowledgable in explaining the system to my husband and myself. Even going as far as coming out to the house to show us how the system works. Everyone has treated me with kindness and respect.
And they back their work with a guarntee. I don't expect to ever need to use the service agreement, but if I do, I am sure Everdry will come through just as they always have.
The company deserves a pat on the back for a job well done. Thank you Everdry for my peace of mind and worry-free basement.

My name is Caroline and i am writing this rebuttal because I bought a home that had EverDry come in and waterproof the basement. When I purchased the house the old homeowner showed me pictures of the basement prior to EverDry coming in. It was an absolute wreck! Looking at the basement now it is hard to believe that it ever even looked like that. My basement is as dry as a bone even after a heavy consitent rain. It smells fresh down there and it is a place where I can trust my kids to play in without me having to worry. Considering I have four of them :-). I pay my yearly service agreement every year and EverDry comes out to inspect the basement and check for any problems even though there hasn't been any! Whenever I call to set up an appointment or even ask a simple question everyone is polite and courteous. All in all I am very pleased with the service and work done at my home I am busy enough running around that I don't need to worry about my basement and thanks to Everdry of Upstate NY I don't have to!
