Complaint Review: Everest College

Hello. My name is Ever C. I was a massage therapist student at Everest College, subsidiary of Corinthian Colleges Inc. Since this was my first in college, I did not know what to expect. The representative of the school (Marcus) made my sign an enrollment agreement without specifying things like refund policy. Plus he did not give an school catalog, which I later found out that I was supposed to get it before classes started. I attended classes from 8/25/08 to 9/5/08, exactly ten days. I dropped for the following reasons which I presented to the school's Dean.

The instructor was teaching very well. He was disorganized (Mr. Chauncey), because he even told us that he was working three jobs. He seemed kind of tired.
The students did not pay attention to the instructor. They ate in the classrooms without the instructor warning them.

My partner dropped out in the first week of the program. Since this is the massage therapy program, I had to share partner with someone else.

Anyway, the collection department or financial department at Everest also Corinthian Colleges is charging more than expected. Tuition is 12825 for nine months, so my share should not be more than 750 dollars. They are charging for one month 1409.78.
