I bought a one hour Professional massage from Evergreen Wellness Center. It had a 6 month expiration date. I contacted them about 4 months later to set up a time.  I was told that they do not do that anymore, but if I paid another $20 then I could get it.  I told them no way. I told them they needed to honor it. They said they would call me back to let me know when I could get in. I called them five, yes, I said five times and was always told the same thing. I demanded my money. Three more phone calls and hearing the checks in the mail, and I contacted consumer fraud of Kansas. I had also sent a certified letter.  I mean, this is only $30 plus the cost of a certified letter, but I hate being ripped off by crooks and totally lied too. Consumer fraud got them to send a check for the $30 with in a few weeks. They never paid me for the certified letter. I have a friend who was ripped off in the EXACT SAME WAY. I would not do business with this company in any way or form. They are the most dishonest company I have ever had to do business with. They do not know how to tell the truth. BEWARE !!!

Dear Roger,

I am very sorry you had such a bad experience with our clinic. After checking around, it appears that we were not able to honor your or your friend's gift certificates because we did not have any student massage therapists. The student rate for massage was $30 at that time, and the professional was $50. This is why they asked for another $20.

I am extremely sorry that you were sold a gift certificate without the different costs being explained to you. I am embarrassed that someone at our clinic sold a student massage gift certificate at a time when there were no student massage therapists. I am sorry for all the trouble this caused you, and for the way the office staff at the time handled the situation. If it is any comfort at all, the staff member who handled your situation is no longer employed with us.

If you still have any documentation (the gift certificate or the certified letter) we would be grateful if you would let us try to rectify the situation. Again, I am sorry you had such an unpleasant experience with us and would like the chance to make it up to you if you'd let us.

Sincerely,
The Evergreen Wellness Center
