Last Year my husband and I were married down in Mexico. I wanted a lasting memory of that wonderful day. I couldn't figure out what to do, but when I looked through "Catalog Favorites"....I came across "EVERLY ORIGINALS" I thought it would be a wonderful surprise to my husband and a beautiful memory to hang on our wall. After we recieved our kit in the mail, it gave us the option to mail or to upload our picture to their site... I didn't feel comfortable sending our wedding picture through the mail, so we uploaded it and then I sent them a confirmation email to make sure that they recieved it. After numerous attempts to get a hold of these people via email and telephone with no success... I ended up googling them and LOOK WHAT I FOUND.... Much to my surprise, I found this website...with numerous complaints that this company went belly up..... What makes me even more angry is that I just purchased this from "Catalog Favorites"......(When contacting them.....they stated that "PERSONALIZED" gifts are not guaranteed....so pretty much they're telling me.... ha, ha, ha....to bad for you....we got our money....BEWARE OF THIS CATALOG) hmm, I'd call that false advertisment, wouldn't you?
You know, forking over $200.00 to a company to make a lasting memory of our special day came at a very big price. That was our wedding money those jerks ran off with. My husband is the only one that works right now...thanks to our lovely economy. I couldn't get a job to save my life right now. That $200.00 could have put another month of food on our table. I know what comes around, goes around but these guys should be held responsible for what they did....WHERE'S OUR MONEY, WHERE'S OUR PAINTINGS, and most importantly, WHERE'S THE PICTURES THAT PEOPLE SENT IN? I contacted the BBB and made a complaint.....what good that'll do......they're no longer in business...so it doesn't hurt them at all...... I'm wondering...is there something we can do legally to get our money back or do we just have to take it and let them get away with it? Anyone out there with a legal background? Any suggestions would be great....
