I would like to file a formal complaint against EVO Payments International for inappropriately withholding credit card funds. We had signed a contract for service in early 2013, however we did not utilize this account for most of our purchases as we had another merchant account tied into our EMR. On October 9, 2017 our company activated a patient ordering cart and used the EVO merchant account to process these orders. We were receiving the credit card payments to our bank until 10/27/17 when we noticed a lapse in funds being received. After that date EVO Payments International stopped depositing in our bank account and has since kept our credit card deposits. One of the partners communicated with Deborah Towle, Risk Analyst for EVO. She stated that the company will be withholding over $300k of the company money due to the company not wanting to do business with us any longer. She stated that they would complete a review after 30 days on whether they can release the money. She stated this was EVO’s policy and procedure.

It is now January 4, 2018 and Evo has released $30k of the full amount owed to us. They stated the money is being held in a non interest bearing account. They are still saying they will continue to complete reviews every 30 days but as you can see by the date, this is not the case. I've noticed many many complaints on this company from various businesses. Hoping an attorney will come forward, along with other businesses that have been hurt by Evo and start a class action suit against them. I will be first in line to file!
