Complaint Review: Exact Data

Exact Data I purchased a business data list for ECom companies with under $1 million annual revenue. They gave me a list of over 2,300 that included over 700 listings of Amazon. My receipt for this list indicated that I had ordered companies with under $1 million, but it's obvious they gave me companies over $1 million. Chicago IL

After I discovered the error, I reported it to the salesperson, Dante Duckett.  He wrote back, saying the receipt had a "typographical error", but that they gave me businesses under $1 million revenue.  I asked about the over 700 Amazon listings and he said they all must be under $1 million revenue somehow, even the corporate ones!  I contacted their customer service, and they never responded.

I got a call today from them asking how I liked the list, and I told the girl it was a waste and explained my problem.  She said I had to "finish" the list (meaning I had to call or email every one) before they would consider any sort of reparations.  To go through a list of that size and keep track of all the responses would be very time consuming and expensive, so I told the girl that wasn't satisfactory, and she responded that's just what it takes to get them to reconsider my issue, but offered no guarantees I would receive a fair settlement.
