I joined ExclusiveRewards.com on 12/29/04. When I joined I was told I would receive an IBM ThinkPad G41 2881 laptop after I accepted offers from 6 sponsors. In fact, I was told the laptop was reserved for me.

I bought services and goods from 6 sponsors as required. When I went to fill out the gift redemption form, the laptop was not in the list of gifts to redeem. I emailed customer service and was told they were aware that the laptop was not on the list and that I could still receive it. I was instructed to select a gift, cross it out and write in the laptop, then mail in the form.

I did this. However, I did not receive the laptop but the gift (a $500 check) that I crossed out. I contacted them again and was told to return the check and the laptop would be sent to me in 4-6 weeks. Rather than go through this hassle and have to wait another 4-6 weeks I kept the check.

I feel they did this on purpose to avoid sending me the laptop. They should not be allowed to promise gifts they are unwilling to send.
