He hired my boyfriend to install Shower Doors on his jobs. The 1st job went fine, he installed the door and they went to the bank. Everyone was happy. On the next job, Dan measured it and ordered the material, installed it and submitted an invoice. He did several more jobs for him that month and when he finished, he'd just submit another invoice. Well at the end of the month, he started slow playing him on paying the invoices and he not only owed him for his labor, but for the material he was out of pocket, also.
When he hit him up about it, he said "Work w/me and we'll both be making alot of money." He'd pay him some here and there but nothing close to what he owed and w/the economy f@#ked up like it is "Slow pay is better than No pay". Well, it got to the point where he wasn't paying him at all and when Dan said something about it he came up w/one excuse after another. One time he said he blew up the engine in his "New" truck and had to pay for a new one, as the caterer and people w/a Bouncy House for his 1yr old grandsons b-day party were setting up. I could go on and on about what a Scandalous piece of crap Jon Burton is and believe me or not, he is. But I'm running out of space...bottom line, he now owes him over $6000.00 along with a lot of other subcontractors he hasn't paid. Jon Burton has no integrity!!! He takes all the credit for doing nice work (but he doesn't do it) and ALL the money! Don't trust him or he'll burn YOU too!!

It most certainly IS true Jon! If it wasn't, that would make me quite a story teller wouldn't it...or a liar and I am neither one of those things. For you to blame it on the economy, when so many people are actually struggling, is true to form and I wouldn't expect anything less!
Everything I said was 100% true! The ONLY reason you even paid what you did was because he hired a Collection Agency and paid them 20%. So, did Dan really get everything you owed him, I don't think so! Plus he wasted valuable time chasing after the money he already earned and because you chose to use his money for your own benefit, instead of paying him what you owed, he was in debt with his suppliers, so not only did you try and screw him out of the money for his labor, you got paid for the jobs and didn't even pay for the material used to do the jobs!
He also had to spend more time and his own money to save his reputation and credit with the people he gets his material from, to save his own company because you didn't pay him and you didn't even care that you almost put him out of business! Also, and this is the best part, when you were served with court papers you said, "Dan who?" When you were told who, you kept repeating his name like you didn't even remember who he is...unbelievable!!! Still calling me a liar Jon?
