I'm not even sure what my purchase was, possibly a flashlight or cooking utensils. I never signed up for a membership. I started receiving emails saying I would be charged $8.95 membership fee, unless I cancelled. Sure enough, I found the corresponding charge on my bank debit card. I went to their email and followed the directions to have the subscription cancelled and the charges reversed. I went through this same process at least 2 times. Today I received another email just like the first (2 or 3). This time I called the number and immediately put through to a live person with foreign accent. After 2-3 minutes of him pulling up my account via my name and zip code, he asked how he could assist me. I explained I didn't even know what the original purchase was, and that I never wanted a re-ecurring subscription.
Also that I had tried at least 2 other times to cancel and reverse charges. I went on to say at this point I considered what they were doing to be criminal and that I would once and for all like this fixed and my monies to be refunded. The gentleman didn't skip a beat and promised me that was exactly what would be done. After I got off phone call, I had two emails saying membership cancelled and charges refunded. He was polite, I will be fair and say that. But these types of scams are terrible. I consider them to be like financial parasites and if you have enough they will bleed you out. I can only imagine how many poor elderly people or people who don't grasp this type of thing are being made into victims. That is why I made this report. To bring the parasites into the light. Please (to these types of people/organizations) find a legitimate way to earn money and stop stealing from people under the guise of a "membership".
