I stayed at Executive Inn in Gardena for two weeks and had my truck vandalized. I paid $300 a week to stay there. This hotel is located in the ghetto area of Gardena. Most of the guests are paroles, prostitutes, gangbangers, drug dealers, addicts, and thiefs. My 1999 Toyota was vandalized in broad daylight (between 12 pm and 3 pm) and the theifs got away with a catalytic converter. It was easy to steal as my truck was a pre-runner (lifted). The theifs use power equipped saw to cut the tailpipe in two places. The owner-manager told me he did not see anything. I asked him if there was cameras in the parking lot and he told me no. My insurance deductible is $500 and the orginal catalytic converter for a tacoma is about $500. The indian owner told me tough luck and I was rather upset. I feel like the motel should be liable for my losses since it was their parking lot. The maid service was not all that either. I left change lying around in the room and that came up missing. I advice anyone getting a room at this motel, to have vehicle alarm, hide valuables, having a catalytic converter welded securley to your vehicle and possibly carrying a firearm.
