Exhibit Transfer Inc. promises to pick up your packages and drop them off at your booth at a trade show. They told me the cost would be $200 and i went ahead and paid it for the National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition on May 20-23, 2013 in Boston. Another company however by the name of Freeman charged $200 to hold the products and deliver them to my booth which ETI promised initially to do and which was not mentioned in the contract. ETI never informed about Freeman. All you are paying ETI is to call UPS/Fedex for you. The best way is to have UPS/Fedex pick up and hold your products for less money.

In response to the complaint of ETi "double charging;"

Anyone whom knows or is familar with Tradeshows is aware that Freeman, GES, Champion, Geroge Fern, etc are all Decorators.  They are all hired by show management to coordinate the layout and production of the show.  They charge every exhibitor "Drayage," which is what Marcus from Davie, FL is reffering to.  Only union Decorators are allowed on the show floor of any exhibition.

If Marcus would have read the show Manual or Exhibitor Kit, he would have been aware that he would be charged drayage.  There is almost no way around this charge unless the decorator has some special deal such as shipping to advance warehouse for a discount, etc.

Regardless of which carrier you choose to handle your Tradeshow Transportation, drayage will always apply.  All carriers, including ETi, charge transportation for a "Door to Door" service which means that we pick up at the customers dock and deliver to the Convention Dock.  Once it is offloaded at the Convention Center, it is in the hands of the Decorator of that particular show.

Exhibit Transfer charged Marcus one fee of $200 for door to door service.  Freeman, whom he hired when he signed up to exhibit in the show, charged him the other $200.  That does not amount to a double charge by Exhibit Transfer Inc.

Unfortunately Marcus, this is how every Tradeshow across the country works.  I am sorry that your lack of understanding has caused anomosity towards ETi, but what Freeman or any other decorator charges you is between you, the exhibitor, the Decorator and the Show that hired that particular Decorator.
