Our company is based out of California and we were attending our first out of state show in Orlando. We were attending the Surf Expo. We were contacted by Jason Griffin from Exhibit Transfer Inc about shipping our booth to the show. We agreed and was told how to pack our palet and the procedures to follow and Quoted a price that was reasonable.

UPS was dispached to pick up December 22th. The show began January 8th and the shipment was to be delivered January 6th for setup. When we arrived January 7th to set up our booth our shipment was not there.

I immidately called Jason Griffin who was our rep handling our shipment. Hi said He would have to go to another office to check our shipment. Then proceded to tell us that the shipment would be delivered late the next day. I then called UPS and they told me that the delivery had been lost for 2 days and they were still trying to find it. Jason never told us the shipment was lost. I had to find that out from UPS.

He then lyed to his boss Paul Griffin who then got involved after my wife sent a message on their website that I was about to have a heart attack and he got Involved. He told me Jason had " reached out to us" but was not able to get in touch with us and had left a message. That never happened. We never got any message from him he lied to cover his mistake.

If he had made an attempt to contact us we could had Fed-Ex a shipment to the show and we could have at least had a sample of our unique surfing product to show to in our empty booth.

The next day, I tried to communicate with UPS and kept getting false information about the location our our shipment. Was told it would be there on the 9th the second day of the show but no one could tell me where it was. Not UPS nore Paul Gonzalez.

The shipment finally arrived the night of the 9th and we were able to set up our booth staying late that night to have it ready the next day.

We spent about $9000.00  to be at this show and we will never know how much potential business we lost. On top of that, the embarrisment of not being prepaired, and making an impression of our company at the biggest show in our industry and the stress it caused myself and my family that was there to help.

The bottom line is Yes, UPS lost the shipment but Exhibit Transfer did nothing to warn us and only blaimed others and never took responsibility for the poor service.

We will never be able to spend that kind of money again for a show, it was our only shot and it is gone.
