I would be very cautious in dealing with JP Rothermel.

You may want to call the Real Estate Commission and see if there has been any formal complaints, violations or fines she and or her company were involved in. I was the owner of EXiT Realty of Cherry Hill from 2001 to 2011. Ms. Rothermel came to my office before opening and EXiT franchise, and I shared with her all I could about EXiT and how we built our office.

2008 I had lost all my lines of credit, spent all the cash I had to keep EXiT Realty of Cherry Hill afloat. In 2011 I had ran out of money and forced to close my office. I have no problem with that, thousands of business were forced to do the same. I had met Ms. Rothermel and discussed how I would like to go into being a selling Realtor, stay in the EXiT system and would like to join her company. She agreed to this and I had placed 20+ pending real estate transactions from my office into hers.

I had spoken to 10+ Realtors about staying with EXiT and joining her office and they did. Her office almost doubled in size because of this. I had brought over several thousands of dollars of office furniture to her office, as a token of additional goodwill. The day my office was closed and I was to sign up with her, Ms. Rothermel stated she changed her mind and did not want me to join her office. I asked her to pay for the pending RE transactions I sent over. I asked her to pay me for the office furniture I had sent over.

To this day, she has never paid me a dime and still has Realtors working for her that I had brought over from my office however, most had left her office. Feel free to ask her about this and why did she mislead me into thinking she was honorable, would accept me as a selling Realtor in her company, why she did not compensate me for the deals I sent over or the office furnture. I am confident, she has a good line however, ask her if what I share actually happened.

Regardless of her story, she took money from me and my family in a most misleading, and devious manner, while I was living through an extremely difficult time in my life. Obvioiusly, for her behavior toward me, I could never trust her moving forward. In 19 years in being in Real Estate, I paid one $250.00 administration fee, assest by the Real Estate Commision while I was with ReMax.

My office had closed some 1500+ transactions, we had a clean record and never paid one fine or added fee to the Real Estate Commission. That warm, caring and smiling person vanished the day she had gotten all I could give and she could get no more, and she told me she would not honor our agreement or pay me for the transactions or the furniture.

Sincerely,

Christopher W. Spada
