Exmark lawnmower manfg. company Ferrells indoor outdoor products had a burn lawnmower under a 4 year warranty due to wires from electrical and exmark did not back their warranty Internet
Our lawn mower zer turn 44' cut caught on fire 7/16/2012 and we bought this product from Ferrell in Corinth, Ms on july 31,2010. The wiring caught on fire due to the way it was manfg. from the company which it had a four year warranty on the wiring.
We called them the day it happened and the next day a guy from ferrells and a guy from exmark came to pick itup from our house and we thought that they were going to replace the lawn mower. But we did not hear from them so I decided to start calling to find out what they were going to do and they said that they could not take care of this that this was our home owners insurance problem to take care of us even though it was under warranty.
They did offer us to pay $3500.00 and give us another lawn mower with a new warranty. But they did not represent the first warranty on our 5500.00 lawn mower what makes them think that the 2nd warranty would be any good on the new lawn mower.
We still have a loan that we still have to pay which is over $4,000.00 and no lawn mower and haven't had a lawnmower for way over 2 months now.
Our house could have caught on fire and two children could have been burned up in this situation because the lawn mower was sitting behind our house real close. My daughter happen to hear some noise outside her bedroom and when she looked out the window she seen the lawn mower on fire and the mayor from crump, tn just happen to be riding by and seen the smoke coming from the back of our house.
I think exmark should have replaced the lawnmower for free or help pay on the loan. They should have backed their warranty on the lawnmower. This makes me not ever want to deal with ferrells
who sells exmark product, or exmark because they do not stand behind their warranty on their product which this lawnmower now has been discontinued on the market. They should not get away with this situation by doing a customer wrong.
