Enough is enough after trying for a long time to get  my money back from this scammer it is time for everyone to know our story. We purchase a bolt on Lambo Door conversion from ExoticCarDoors Inc a.k.a ECD a.k.a www.exoticcardoors.com after emailing and talking with a smooth talking very informative person at "Exotic Car Doors". They told us they were bolt on and the best out there. We believed them. Big mistake.

They shipped them quickly but that is where the positive experience ended. When we recieved them it was obvious right away that we had been scammed out of our hard earned money. They didn't have a single bolt hole and none of the flanges were even close to the bolt holes.

the www.exoticcardoors.com website says:

"Each ECD kit is manufactured using 3AA heat-treated, high strength DOMEX 100XF   steel. This is the same high grade material that NASCAR uses to manufacture its roll cages. Translation: a strong study kit that keeps you door in place once elevated. Don't be fooled by the cheap import kits or those who promise to bring quality but provide only disappointment."

I am a welder and I know plain old cheap steel when I see it. This kit is made of thin mild steel that would not be anywhere near a nascar certified vehicle. What a pile of crap. They didnt even take the time to properly prepare and coat the steel to hide the cheap garbage this kit is made out of.

They also say:

"21st century robotic welding is used in the fabrication of each ECD hinge. This ensures strong even welds that last"

One of the biggest lies on their site. I didnt even think about if before ordering until I saw the gobby unfinished shotty welds on their so called door kit. i should have known, robotic welding is only used by major manufacturing companies.

They also say  that they work smoothy and are very strong, Another lie. when we played open and closed them on the bench there was an insane amount of play in the hinges and they were constantly binding up no matter what we did. When we put them in the vice and pulled you could flex them side to side.

After demanding my money back for their ugly paper weight, they refused to return my emails and calls. I have finally given up now and dont want anyone else to go through what I did.  Eventually I gave them to a friend of mine to try on his junker. I should have thrown them out. After a lot of cutting he managed to weld them onto his accord. After welding everything solid, he installed the shock and the door had almost 2 feet of wobble in the air, and when he tried to close them for the first time the hinge broke in two places. It was a mess.

ECD, exotic car doors,  is a scam, after having my lawyer look into them and a PI even the person answering the phone didn't exist. The COMPANY WASN'T EVEN REGISTERED! Someone should call the police on whoever is running this scam.

ExoticCarDoors.com ECD Doors Rebuttal

Hello,

My name is Peter.  I am a sales associate with ECD Doors.  Unfortunately sites like this allow for unscrupulous people to destroy the good names of legitimate companies trying to run a business.  I have gone through our database of customers with a "fine tooth comb" over the past 5 years.  We have absolutely no record of a sale to an "Emanuel" from Glendale California.  In fact, our company takes any and all complaints very seriously and we keep a record of any issues customers have over time.  Again, after going through the record of customer issues/warranty claims we've received, no customer was found by the name of Emanuel from Glendale California.  So as a last resort my boss asks me to review the last 5 years of shipment records for all customers to see if we ever delivered a kit to Glendale California, regardless of name.  Again, no record of any kit being shipped to Glendale California.  In the end we believe this report to be inaccurate.  It may be a false claim filed by a competitor who has no option but to try and destroy the good name of a business in hopes of seeing their fortunes turn from bad to good.  Either way this report appears to be a hoax and we demand the author provide some proof that the transaction really happened.  ExoticCarDoors.com is a wholly owned subsiduary of Dublar Capital. Business Registration Number (BN005695548)
