Avoid any bookings with Expedia. Their Agents and Supervisors are..

1. Poorly trained

2. Trained to lie to consumers to say what they think the consumer wants to hear

3. Mislead, misrepresent and LIE

If you are seeking a legitamit refund you will have to jump through hoops and eventually get nowhere. First you have to wait up to at least 50 minutes on hold before tou even get to speak to an Agent. Then the Agent will listen to your complaint and begin their lying process.

If you then ask to speak to a Supervisor you are placed on hold for another 10 to 15 minutes. The Supervisor is equally as inept as the Agent and will tell you a different lie. I asked last Supervisor to transfer me to her Manager. She said "I will put the call through to Corporate and they will call you back today for sure." Well, you know what happened, never got a call.

The fact is, when Expedia gets your money they will do everything they can to hold back your refund so they can earn interest on OUR money.

This morning I again tried calling them and...they don't even answer the phone. 

They are a complete Rip-Off and MUST be avoided at all cost.

Here are the facts regarding expedia and why they are liars.

I booked a flight with them on 8/2. My ex wife went to book the same flight for our daughter on Expedia as mine. After completing the required info on Expedia for my daughters flight, a red notice appeared that expedia cannot process this ticket because my daughter was a minor (15).

So i immediately contacted Expedia. Informed them of the situation. They have a 24 hour no cost cancellation. Ther Agent said the only way to fix this is to cancel my ticket which she did (at not cost). The funds were already debited from my card and the Expedia rep it will be posted back in 3 days or less. (Lie 31).

On the third day I checked my account and no refund. I called Expedia. Had to wait 28 minutes on hold before I even got to speak with a Rep. Explained the situation. This Rep told me a completely different story. She said that Expedia did't charge the card but the airline did and I had to call them. (Lie #2).

I called the airline and they said, they did not charge my card, Expedia did. But they did get a notice from Expedia to VOID the flight. This Rep said they never charged nor recieved the money. It is an Expedia issue.

I immediately called Expedia back and now had to wait another 30 minutes before I got to speak to a Rep. I explained everything to her. She assured me that because I got a ticket # from the airline (which i did) that it was the airline who charged the card. (lie #3) I asked to speak with a Supervisor. waited 18 on hold before he came on.

I explained situation to him. He said, Yes, expedia did make the charge and you will get the money credited back by today. (Lies #4)

I contacted my credit card company. they said they show the charges and the 'Pending' and they could not do anything for 8 days because they have no record of charge reversal from Expedia. They suggested I call Expedia back. The Rep with the credit card company said she would even stay on the line as a third party and listen to call with Expedia.

I added Expedia to this call and a computer voice said wait time is 46 minutes. The Credit card rep said, 'No problem I will hold with you'. That was terrific. Then after 52 minutes on hold an Expediate rep came on. I explained (again) the situation and she said let me call the airline and get you a cancellation #. we waited about 10 mins and the Rep camer back and said she fixed the problem(Lie #5) and gave me a cancellation # from the airline. The Credit Card rep heard that and said to me ok, seems to be straightened out and I trhanked here for her time and cooperation.

I then immediately called the airline to verify what the Expedia Rep told me. Well, the airline rep said they have no record of any call from Expedia and they don't take or give cancellations ober the phone on by fax for safety reasons. That means the Expediate rep lied to again.

I calledexpedia back immediately and had to wait over 50 minutes to speak to a rep. When she came on I asked to speakto a Supervisor and she said ok. I waited over 10 mins. New supervisor comes on. She tells me a completely new story that it is definately not an Expedia charge and that I should have already received a refund. She said everything I was told by other reps was incorrect. I asked to speak to a Manager. She said a manager is in Corporate and will call me back the same day. I never got a call back.

Today, still no manager call and another Exedia supervisor. She listened and said there is nothing she can do and HUNG UP on me. let me say that i was NEVER rude,loud or unprofessional with any rep on the phone.

It was great how you spent your entire report on how bad they are.  How about giving some details of your situation. 

What are you trying to get a refund on?

What are these lies they are telling you?

Why do you think your refund is "legitimate"?
