Expedient Relocation over charged and damaged my items after being a day and a half late for pick up Canoga Park California

the move was booked for the 22nd of jan. they never showed up. around 2:30 on the 22nd they finally called and said they werent going to make that day and that they would be there on the morning of the 23rd. now mind you i flew out to my storage unit specifically to meet the movers. due to the lateness of the movers i had missed my flight and had to pay an additional 256.00 to catch the next flight out (8 hours later)

upon them showing up and starting to move my items -- they drop my 2000.00 oak armoire - breaking the handle and scratching, denting and damaging the front of the item. then the mover tried to tell me that those scratches were there before he moved it. the mover was careless and didnt tie my item down or wrap it a blanket before moving it.

upon delivery, i was told that there would be an additional 600.00 charge because my items took up more space than anticipated. plus in order for them to grant the discount i deserved, i had to agree not to file a claim with the company to get my stuff repaired. the mover showed up alone and my husband and i were forced to aid in the unloading of the truck. in the process, several other things were severely damaged and irreplaceable.

in the end my balance of 590.00 jumped to 1000.00 and i want my money back and i want my armoire fixed back the way it was!
