I, too, was victim of being ripped off by Experian Nov. 19, 2006. I subscribed to Experian's free credit report, which contained 3 almost completely blank columns with no info. By the time I was through subscribing, they had charged me $54.40, three different charges. I called them, when I told them situation the man hung up on me.

The women told me that I had "bought" two free credit reports, that she didn't know what the other charge was for, and there was nothing she could do about it.They refused to cancel my "free" trial period for "credit monitoring" that I never signed up for.

When I threatened them with a class action lawsuit, they sent me all kinds of emails apologizing, but saying that my "free" trial period could not be processed until Dec. 19,2006, the day after this "free" trial ended, which meant that they would take $12.95 more out of my bank account.

The FTC blew me off, as did the BBB. I am interested in a class action lawsuit, also. They just had one in August of 2005, were fined $950,000 plus had to give everyone their refunds, and they're still pulling this.

Last year I had a debt that I did not incur on my report from Transunion, disputed it, they told me my dispute was frivilous, and the collection agency had to agree to a dispute, even though no one ever asked me if I agreed to have my credit ruined.

I sent them a consumer statement certified mail. When I called them they kept telling me that they never received it, even though I had the receipt. I continued to call until someone finally acknowledged that they received it. I told them to send me a credit report WITH my consumer statement on it, which they did. They have to. No AG, BBB, FTC wants to deal with these agencies, so its up to us.
