Experian Credit Reporting Agency downward spiral Irvine california
I would like for everyone to know that when you inquire about your credit report and find something that does not belong and dispute it, it does not mean that it will be handled in a professional manner by Experian credit reporting agency. My husband and I reviewed our credit scores and found items that needed to be removed and when we disputed the information on our credit report, our credit rating for this agency went down 50 points over a 6 month period of time.
Not only did our score go down, but they sent us letters stating that our dispute is frivolous and will not be investigated again. I thought we as consumers and they as customer service providers are allowed fairness and not penalized for bringing this matter to their attention. If anyone has been through anything of this sort or close to it, please respond and offer me some advice in the matter.

Collette,
Because of Experian's high level of security and protecting your information, a report must be obtained from Experian directly at annualcreditreport.com to validate that you are who you are. Once you have received that report, you will be given a report number along with a phone number or address to mail your dispute to. You can also dispute the information online.
