Explorer Appliances ripoff I have not received any product, refund or phone call from this company. San Diego California

Placed an order for a stainless steel range 10/3/03 by phone with Eric who stated shipment would be made 10/20/03. Explorer Appliance charged my credit card $1,777 on 10/3/03.

Called company 10/30/03 to check order status, spoke w/Candace who stated delivery should be made in two more weeks. Delay due to product held in customs.

Called company 11/10/03 to check order status, spoke w/Candace who stated delivery should be made in two weeks. Requested a manager/supervisor, Candace transferred me to voicemail, I left message, no one returned my call.

Contacted company 11/17/03, spoke with unidentified male who stated my range was expected on a truck within two hours and should be shipped later in the week.

Contacted company 12/2/03, spoke w/Candace who stated delivery should be made by 12/15/03.

Contacted company 12/16/03, spoke w/Eric who stated delivery should be made by 12/17 or 12/18/03.

Contacted company 12/19/03, spoke w/Candace who stated my order is not ready for delivery, I requested my order be cancelled and requested my purchase be refunded. Candace stated my refund should be processed within 3 to 5 days.

Contacted company 12/23/03, spoke with Candace, requested status of refund and cancellation, she stated the cancellation process has not yet started and the accounting department is responsible for cancellation/refunds. I questioned who I could speak to in the accounting department, Candace stated Karen is the appropriate person to speak to pertaining to refunds. Candace stated Karen is not in but is expected to work in two hours.

I called back in two hours, Karen was not available, I requested that Karen return my call, I also requested to speak with customer service, I was transferred to voicemail, I left a message, no one has returned my call. I also requested from Candace on 12/23/03 that she fax me verification that I have formally requested a cancellation/refund. She stated she would fax me the requested verification immediately. She did not fax the requested verification.

I have not received any product, refund or phone call from this company.
