This company is very avoidant, rude and a classic con operation.

An order I placed in May 5/15/03 has taken 10 months. The items I ordered did not arrive and part of my ordered items had to be changed 6 months ago to a different item because "they no longer make the model you ordered on the internet". I was told about this detail when I called to check on an order that. reportedly was there on the "next shipment". I have recieved the 1st cooktop but not the second.

Yesterday, after waiting 10 months and having Eric confirm that my merchandise should have came in 2 days ago. I was told by candy that my grill top was no longer available. I went with another double burner since they have already(10 months ago)took my money and I have a huge hole in my countertop. I have been told my double burner will be arriving in 3 days 2/2/04. Who knows I have heard this before.

Candy and Eric are hired to keep people from talking with Paul the manager. They transfer you to voicemail, avoid phonecalls and avoid answering email or phone messages. Candy has been rude, yawned on the phone etc. I have to call them from different phones in order to get a response-they may have caller id.

In trying to track down my merchandise I have called other companies who have formerly carried explorer products. Cookathome an internet distributer told me that they have stopped doing business with explorer because of dishonesty, avoidance, disappointments and delays.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sat, January 31, 2004

I keep seeing reports for this company, but no one seems to be doing anything. Isn't there something that can be done?

I'm not a lawyer, but if you PAY for something, and you do NOT receive that item, and you have documented evidence that you DID pay and did NOT receive it, then why can't you go to the police? Or file a lawsuit?

I think someone needs to go to the police or talk to a lawyer or something along those lines, especially since there are so many complaints, so much EVIDENCE to back up the claims, and especially since there are legitimate companies who would back up the claims with their experience as well.

My suggestion is that the people who have posted and continue to post regarding this company DO SOMETHING!!! If you do nothing, you're only helping to allow that someone else just like you gets ripped off the way you did.
