I chose a car online, sent $1000 deposit, and began signing forms. One of the forms was a warranty for $295 to clean any stain from the inside and fix paint on the outside for a year.  I live nowhere near Houston, and told them I was not interested in this warranty, and to please send me an update invoice without it.  The form itself said "the purchase of this product is not required as a condition to obtain financing or to purchase or lease your vehicle."  Then they told me it was mandatory, they couldn't remove it, and if I didn't accept it, then the deal was off.  So, I wasn't going to sign and say I chose this warranty voluntarily, so the deal was off, the manager decided the next day. A week later, I still didn't have my deposit back.  When I inquired, they said they never ran my credit card.  I sent them a screenshot of the transaction on my card.  So they said oops, and sent me a photo of a bogus receipt saying they reimbursed my card.  It never showed up.  Two weeks after the manager dropped the sale, I had to contact my credit card bank to dispute the charge, and explained the whole story.  It took contacting the bank to get my $1000 back for a car they refused to sell me since I didn't want their "optional" warranty.  Stay far away.
