I ordered one camera, but received another camera. The salesman led me to believe that I was getting a great deal for the Sony HVR-Z1U camera. The salesman lied to me and sent me a different camera entirely.

On September 1, 2007 I made an online purchase through Express Cameras for 1 Canon XH-A1 with premium package for $1,249.00. I printed the invoice with invoice number 145522. On Tuesday I received an email confirmation requesting that I call the company.

I immediately phoned the company and spoke to sales representative, Peter Henderson. He said, why are you buying this camera, when I can get you the new Sony HVR-Z1U high def camera. It is much better quality for your money than the Canon. I replied no thank you. He said, now really ma'am, I can throw in an extra wide-angle lens. I looked on line and compared the Sony HVR-Z1U against the Canon XH-A1 and saw that they were quite comparable. So I said, fine.

He processed my order online and said that it would be shipped the next day. I waited a week and called the company to inquire about shipping. He apologized and said that it would be shipped the next day. I received a shipment from (September 17th). When I opened the package, I saw that the camera was not what I had ordered. I ordered the Sony HVR-Z1U and received the HVR-A1U (with a value of at least $2,000 less. It is listed for $800 on ExpressCamera website). I called the company immediately and said This is not the camera I ordered. I want my money back and I will return the camera.

He argued with me for a while. And finally said, okay send the camera back and we will give you some of your money back. But we will charge you for the shipping and a re-stocking fee, all of which comes to $543.61. He said you got! I sent the camera back and I am working to get all of my money refunded. What this salesperson and company did is completely unethical.
