Okay so anyone who wants to use a gift card to purchase gas at Exxon on Aramingo Ave aka Rock n' Roll Exxon better think twice before doing so or else it will be more aggrivation than needed. My finance did and used my gift card to purchase $10.00 worth of gas; we then decided to go to the grocery store across the street from the gas station to get some food. When attempting to pay for the food, we were told that the gift card was declined. After being embarassed at the grocery store, I came into work to check on the activity on the gift card and made a very starteling discovery. Low and behold, an unauthorized transaction in the amount of $40.00 was charged to the gift card that neither of us authorized. Now i know it does not take $50.00 to fill the tank of a Hyundai Elantra and $10.00 is enough for basic running around localy.
When the gentelman or whatever you want to call him was confronted about this by my finacee, he literally called my fiancee a liar and that we have no proof. Um hello, did you honsetly think that i would not check the balance of the card online and do we look like fools who were born yesterday and not know what you did.
My fiancee gave him an opportunity to come clean and fess up but once the attitude of the man got more intense my fiancee was not going to have it and therefore went over the the 26th precinct in philly. The detective told my fiancee to get a hold of the info from online and drop it off at the police station and they would take care of it. I don't have a problem with that however, in the next couple of days i will be consulting and attorney and will be suing for a lot more than just an unauthorized $40 charge. Its about time that someone stand up to the actual a*****e and realize that committing freud is illegal and esspecially stealing from someone to benifit themselves in the pocket, hell no.
