Recieved a call 1/20/2009 from a Justin who said he was with EZ 1 (or Easy One or EZ One, etc....) Marketing and claimed he was representing shopping malls and/or gas stations. He was offering $300.00 in gas vouchers or coupons and a 10 day unlimited calling card free of charge but wanted my credit card number for the postage & handling of the "materials" I was to recieve. He already had my cell phone number (one I don't typically give out to just anyone to prevent these annoying telemarketing calls!) and my home address, including city, state, and zip.

This immediately disturbed me and of course I refused to give him or his "verification officer" any other personal information or credit card number. I put the "verification officer" on hold a moment while I Googled "EZ 1 gas" to find a www.ripoffreport.com article showing this to be basically a credit card mining scam - I returned to the "verification officer" and informed him that I was not interested in his offer and asked him to remove me from his calling list.

He tried further to persuade and I firmly told him again to remove my number from his call list and informed him that it would now be a federal offence to call me again and that I WOULD press charges (Don't know if that worked or if it truly is a federal offense, but you can bet I'll sure try - I hope he calls back so I will have a valid reason to consult a lawyer!). He snidely thanked me for wasting his time, and I reminded him that he was the one that called ME and wasted MY time!
