this company somehow got my information and called my home number, trying to give me a free $300 gas card, and some girt cards that i can use at my local stores. they then said that they would mail it to my house in 3 to 7 days. They then told me that i would have to pay a one time fee ( which they kept enforcing) of $1.95. this started me to start asking questions. i asked them how did they get information on me and how they got my number. they started telling me they got it from the shopping malls that i went to in my area and they bought my info from them. i started asking them which shopping malls that sold my info. to them was, they would keep telling my that don't have that type of info on them at the moment and they would give me all that info after i gave them my credit card type and number so they could transfer me to the costumer service center where they suppose to have the info i requested.
that did not sound write to me at all, so i asked for a manager or a supervisor which came to phone in no time. usually when i ask to speak to someones manager or super it would take a while. An East Indian accent guy came on the phone ( previous guy had the same accent also, so was everyone else in the background and this suppose to be Arizona) he started telling me the same thing the previous guy did and kept asking me for my card info. and enforcing the its only a one time fee and they have security personal that is there to make sure would safe and secure. So i asked to speak to him, they put me on hold heard them speaking in the background could not make it out ( was not English ) and security guy came on. started telling the same stuff the last 2 people told me. i asked me for the number to there company he gave it to me and i asked if i could hang up and call him back. he said if i had another to use it an call the number i said ok an put him on hold. but at the time they called my i has on my computer to i typed in the address they gave me in mapquest.com and nothing came up. tried it again in expedia.com same thing.
so i went into google and typed in the company's name i the 1st three hits said in bold letters was SCAM.
i went back to the phone and i wanted to try to get some more info. on them but when i went back the call was disconnected. so here i am trying to help put these guys out of business from scamming people that may not able to spot scams.
