My daughter borrowed my can for a first time visit  to Delaware. She did not have change for tollso proceded thru thing our Florida pass would cover it. Wrong. I received a tickect in the mail dated 10/21/2017 for $54.00. I appealed the ticket and attached a check for the $4.00 toll due portion.

As I did not hear back fron Delaware, I assumed it was OK, with no issues. Wrong again, on 12/01/2017 I received a new  bill for $91.50 to cover a $4.oo toll violation. That is not right. I have attached a copy of said ticket. Please observe the charges. They left off the coffe and donuts.

The moral here is 'Never visit Delaware" !!!!!!!  Never, never, never.

Seriously, why do people think that they can violate rules and still pay the same as those who don't? The huge fine is a penalty to remind you that you shouldn't let it happen ever again.

You must pay for their cost (mailing, processing paper, etc.) plus penalty. It is normal and there is no "forgiven" program. This is not a for-profit business type but rather to penalize your (daughter) wrong doing. If they forced your daughter to use their toll while knowing that your car didn't have EZ pass, then it would be a rip off. However, your daught intend to go through anyway while knowing what she did, then pay the price for the action. Besides, if she is going to visit a place, learn about the place before going. There is Internet nowadays.

It is an expensive consequence, but I hope everyone should learn what is coming when something like this happens. It is not a rip off.
