I have been trying to return/cancel my NJ EZPass for months and months. I received a notice from Alliance One -- a "collection agency" -- that my NJ EZPass account had been referred to them for collection. I talked to someone after being on hold for over an hour and she sounded very confused and said that people had been yelling at her about their EZ Pass accounts and I should contact EZPass with any questions. This was almost a year ago. I never received any kind of notification from EZPass that there was a problem with my account, nor did I receive any additional notices from Alliance One. I went to an actual EZPass office and they checked my EZPass and told me it was fine! I contacted NJ EZPass and they said they couldn't help me and I needed to talk to Alliance One and provided me with a telephone number that was not for Alliance One, but for an emergency company call Hanover. I tried numerous different telephone numbers listed on the web and never reached a live person. From different posts I have since read on the web, I have no intention of paying Alliance Once any money and am concerned that between EZPass and Alliance One, there is a lot of scammning going on.
