Complaint Review: E Z Tel

Used this company as long distance service for several months and was quite satisfied. Suddenly one month my long distance bill rose from around $25.00 a month to over $100.00 a month.

Attempts to contact company resulted in nothing being done. I had not been notified that the rates were increasing for my calls to London and they refused to adjust it. Actually they were quite unsympathetic.

The only explanation I got was that their rates were posted on their website. I did not even know they had a website and would have no reason to consult it anyway since I received my bills electronically and paid them via credit card. Their printed bills also listed no web address.

Basically they increased their charges 4 fold with no notification. This should be illegal.
