Apparently Facebook offers several games through affiliates. One that immediately comes to mind is Zynga. Popular games include Mafia Wars, Farmville, Truths about you, just to name a few. They offer users the ability to purchase various credits, "coins" or "treasures", whatever. Personally I would never purchase anything (especially at their rediculously expensive prices) just to continue playing. They are "churning" players, almost like an one-armed-bandit, and I have heard accounts of people spending hundreds of dollars...it's just insane! As an avid gamer myself, I buy a game, install it and play. No need to continue to buy overpriced crap just for the privilege of playing MY game.

The aggraviting thing is that players have very little recourse if, in fact, they have been hacked or made an otherwise honest mistake. Dispustes often end up falling on deaf ears, or worse they hide behind a very "dodgy" Terms of Service (TOS) agreement. Don't waste your time arguing with these drones.

My advice is that IF your purchase was made fraudulently to your credit card account, notify you credit card company and ask to speak with their Security or Fraud department. They all have them. Explain to them the situation (typically the game affiliate tells you too bad, so sad, no refund or contact Facebook) and that the charges are fraudulent. They take this seriously and will investigate. Be persistant, but understand it could take some time before the credit card company issues a chargeback and credits your account.

Good luck!
