I was told by my rep at FLR to not pay my mortgage payment and just worry about paying him and he would take care of the rest. Now that the negotiator called to finalize the modification, she tells us that we have to catch up our mortgage payments beofre they will modify. I was told at the start this would not be a problem.

I asked if it would come back and bit us in the butt and he said no. They will revamp the loan and add the behind payments the modified loan. I already paid all the money I had to them and now they need more. I was permeantly laid off from my job and my husbands hour have been cut 3 times in the last 3 months. THe whole reason we took this route was to get us out of this mess not make it worse and thats what we got.

Hello Sam,

I am sorry to hear what fair lending did to you, well They did te same to me. They told me to stop making payments that will look better if a have a few miss payments and the whole process will be faster. Anyway to make the story short this became a big mess I got to talk to one of the supervisor and He refuse to give me a refund, then my husband and I file a complaint with Attorney General Brown. A few days later got a letter from fair lendig saying that a refund was going to be issue to us just to fill out the proper form and fax it back to them ad it was going to take 30-120 days. Well this was back on 07/17 today is the 120th day and I have not hear from those people, I have call many times, email Tricia Hansen from the processing department and nobody is returning my phone calls.I have seen my money either it discuss e to know that their are people out there that take advantages of the situation. I have contacted Attorney General Brown and I am willing to go to the Media. I want this people to pay every single dime they owe not just to me but I am sure that they are more people out there like you and myself. Lets get all tose people together and send them to Jail thats were they belong They are commiting a fraud and steeling money from honest people. Please do'nt let them get away with this. I have one number for Tricia Hansen 949-734-4065 the other ones are not in service anymore it figures and the main number is not taking any more mesages. I have a couple of fax numbers here 949-271-4989 or 949-892-1109/Tricias office at processing department. I really hope that can help. if you have any question please feel free to email me at (((ROR redacted)))  I look foward to talk to you.

I wish you the best and if you know more people with the same problem get them involved and I ask ripp off/managers to please help us get these people exposed so they don't hurt more families.

Remove Modification Services from this complaint!

Modification Services was the servicing company for the modifications that Fair Lending Review submitted.  They have nothing to do with the dishonesty of Fair Lending Review and have since severed ties with the company.  Modification Services is an ethical, legal and compliant company with a stellar reputation.  Please remove their name from your complaint as it is bringing unwanted and unwarranted negative PR.  Thank you

Where did Fair Lending Review go?

We also used FLR to get a loan modification.  After several months of gathering documents we felt as though we were chasing our own tail.  We were told that nothing could be processed until all the documents were received yet some how documents we send were always missing or they didn't have them.  It seemed as though we would never be able to gather all the documents they needed.

After deciding to go another route, we asked for our money back and that's when things got ugly.  We were told we would not be able to save out house, that they were ready to finish the process and all this work had been done, yet they could never provide proof.  After several conversations with managers and supervisors we were finally given a document to request our money back.  They said the process could take 60-90days.  We are approaching that 90 day mark, and all the numbers for contacts we had lead to a non specified voice mail.  We have not gotten a response back from anyone, and they have $3,000 dollars of our money.

Where are these people???  I cannot find one phone number that leads to an actual person and the document signed stated we have a right to a money back guarantee that we filed in the appropriate amount of time?

If anyone has any information on them I could really use it!

didn't you just use this money to make your loan payments? I just don't understand you people who fork over a big chunk that could've gone toward your mortgage.

Truth or Fiction ?

Let's assume for a second that SAM is a real person.. and actually lives in Shumay

I will assume that SAM is a real person and that this complaint is also valid.

FLR Fair Lending Review would never ask a struggling homeowner to stop making mortgage payments. The homeowner either has a specific hardship or they do not. FLR is not in the modification business and never has been. FLR ( Fair Lending Review) is not a modification company and not a foreclosure prevention company. Fair Lending Review has one function and that is to talk with the homeowner and offer solutions that will benefit them. We do not charge nor advocate the client pay any money up front ever for a modification or foreclosure prevention. In fact we offer the client a FREE negociation provided by a third party that is Licensed and approved by the DRE. This third party will negociate on the clients behalf and this a FREE service that FLR provides. FLR ( Fair Lending Review ) offers the client a Forensic Doument Audit that we forward to the negociator for the purpose of getting each homeowner the very best modified terms. FLR does not provide any negociation and does not provide any type of modification. FLR guarantees a money back guarantee for the Forensic Document Audit only. Each homeowners file is unique and the negociator deals directly with the loss mitigation department at the homeowners lender. The lender in some cases will ask for a good faith payment and offer the homeowner a 3 month trial.  Each lender sets it's own guidelines and approves or denies each client themselves. Each file is different and the lender can alter or add anything required for the approved modifcation. Some lenders will add past due payments to the back and some will not. Some lenders will reduce the interest rate for 6 months only. Other lenders will reduce the rate and amortize the loan for 40 years. The outcome is never the same and changes from file to file and the unique situation of the homeowner.  If SAM is a real person, then he should have been happy that the lender agreed to revamp the loan and put the past payments on the balance. The alternative could have been foreclosure or loss of the home. Our company did the Forensic Document Audit...A third party DRE approved negociator got "SAM's" loan modified. Most homeowners are never happy with the results that they receive and it's easy to blame FLR for job loss and hours being cut and a poor economy, or is it?

At what point does the home owner accept some responsibility ?
